La Maison Blanche

The apartment itself wasn't as fine as expected, the photos on Expedia showed something different. Bathroom and toilet are very small, but they work. The kitchen is complete, the bedrooms are ok. Cleaning could have been done better, but the owners fulfilled our wishes well during the stay and they are very friendly. The pool is like new and outstanding is the fact, that the hotel is only 50 m away from the beach. So, we enjoyed our stay in Sangatte.

The House is quite small but ok. The rooms are small and unfortunately you can hear every move, every noise, every word even from the house next door. If you make one step upstairs the wooden floor is very very loud. Every room has got 1 or max. 2 plug socket. But the house has got 2 Bathrooms. For 6 people necessary. The cleanliness was good. We have got a baby chair und baby bed. Nice Services! We were disappointed about the kitchen devices. The dishwasher lost water and had an error, the hot water maker lost water and the coffee maschine didn't work on the 2nd day. The vacuum cleaner had no power. So we used the broom.We were happy when they change the coffe maschine at the same day and the cleaning stuff helped us with the dishwasher but it didn't work very well. In addition of it they brought us at the 4th day a new vacuum cleaner. All in all they helped very quick to change the Situation and make it better. The house is perfect located.

Enjoyed 4 days at the La Maison Blanche; and even found time to play golf which was only 30 minutes away; the restaurants were nice for European food especially the dessert but if you were looking for spicy - forget it. The rooms were nice and clean but I wouldn't call it a luxury setting but super nice for a family vacation - worth the price; the owners were super friendly and spoke English; the convenience of the breakfast was worth the 12 euro but it was just OK nothing to say wow -- the coffee was good and the croissants and fruits were fresh every day. The pool and hot tub were also good to relax -- no lap swimming size but just to get wet was nice and then relax in the hot tub. The kitchen was well supplied including a microwave but we didn't use it. For a family get away I would highly recommend -- we also did the 8 km hike just outside the hotel to the Cap Blanc-Nez -- and our teenager said that was the best part of our holidays !! It was an easy hike but can see that you may have to carry some water on a hot day. I also think the owners were super friendly and helpful !
